Crisis With Saudi Arabia: Qatar Signed $12.2bn Weapons Deal With American Boeing For 36 F-15 Strike Eagle Fighter Jets

Saudi led GCC countries cuts tie with Qatar to punish Doha, after that tension heightening constantly amid which Qatar orederd US weapons worth $12 billion.

Qatar signed a $12 billion defense deal with USA to buy 36 Boeing made F-15 Strike Eagle fighter jets for Qatar Emiri Air Force. Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries includes Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain cuts tie with Doha and accused the country for supporting extremists.

In last November Boeing and Doha agreed on a deal for 72 F-15 fighter jets. Somehow that deal wasn’t materialized. US officials told the media that this defense tie with Qatar will enhance interoperability among these two nation for security and other issues. However, US military’s largest base is located near Doha, Qatar’s capital city.

Qatar denied allegations and stand firm against GCC countries. Amid crisis Iran and Turkey supporting Qatar and providing help. Iran sends drinking water, food items and other daily commodities for which Qatar was dependent of those GCC countries for long. Kuwaiti Amir trying to resolve the issue. Turkish president Erdogan also talks in favor of Qatar and providing troops to prevent any GCC invasion in the Emiri state in Persian Gulf.

In last May during U.S. President Donald trump’s visit, Saudi Arabian king Salman bin Abdul Aziz arranged a summit hosting most of the Muslim leaders and with US delegation to strengthen Saudi’s effort to gain more support from Washington. Recently there are other Muslim countries like Turkey, Qatar, and Iran gaining their influence over in respective ideologies. But very recent feud between Qatar and other gulf Arab countries fuels new tension across the region as well as other Muslim countries. Pakistan decided to stay neutral over this tension as Islamabad enjoys brotherly relations with the both.

Qatar’s new deal with USA for defense equipment and cooperation is sign that United States not going to infuriate this tension further, at least, not pentagon.

Bangladesh Navy Buying Two Chinese Navy Guided Missile Frigate With “Hot Transfer” To Increase Naval Fire Power To Protect Sea Area

More modern guided missile frigates coming to Bangladesh Navy until the Chinese Type 054 air defence frigates be inducted into the fleet, those will be built at Chittagong Dry Dock with Chinese technical help

Two Chinese Navy multirole frigates will be inducted by Bangladesh Navy in 2018. Maybe Type 053H3 or Type 054 are coming to BN. Bangladesh increasing its naval fire power faster to protect total 118,813 square km of sea waters. China helping Bangladesh to build a formidable navy in the Bay of Bengal.

Bangladesh seeks more modern air-defence frigates and capable littoral combat warships. And those ships should be built locally in Khulna Shipyard and or in Chittagong Dry Dock Limited. This will give commercial off-set to Bangladesh.

In future Bangladesh Navy will be the second largest powerful navy with large fleet of surface combatants in the South Asia and one of the most powerful in Asia. Naval aviation with Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) is being shaped and sub-surface force started its journey with two chinese submarines.

Bangladesh has to protect it maritime boundary from illegal fishing, illegal human trafficking, drugs & goods smuggling through naval route from Burma. Large portion of drugs smuggled in Bangladesh from burma through Bay of Bengal.

There are plenty of hydrocarbons under the sea bed of the Bay of Bengal. Bangladesh got its right to explore those non-living marine assets from continental shelf. Previously in 2008 myanmar navy sneaked into Bangladeshi territorial waters and started to survey for hydrocarbon resources. Bangladesh navy goes on and made Burmese ran away. When the ships will be inducted into the fleet Bangladesh Navy will be the second largest surface combatant force in the South Asia and one of the most powerful navy in Asia. Yet those planning to come into fruition, though, Bangladesh expanding naval force very rapidly with high-tech equipment.

Bangladesh Navy Will Get Italian Multirole Leonardo Finmeccanica AW159 Wildcat Helicopters In The Last of 2017

Bangladesh ordered two Leonardo Finmeccanica AW159 Wildcat last year to boost its navy’s ASW, ASuW capabilities to protect the maritime boundary and its marine assets

Bangladesh Navy will get AW159 Wildcat Helicopters in last of 2017. Bangladesh modernizing its armed forces under the “Forces Goal – 2030” upgradation program.

This helicopter has Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW) and Over-The-Horizon-Targeting (OTHT) capabilities. AgustaWestland AW159 Wildcat has been in operational with British Royal Navy, Royal Army, South Korean Military, & Philippines Navy.

Bangladesh Navy is also operating two Dornier Do-228NG Maritime Patrol Aircraft from Germany. Two AW109 SAR helicopters built by the Italian Leonardo Company.
Bangladesh will also get some few utility and ASW helicopters soon.

DEALIEST Su-30SME Fighter Jet is Coming for Bangladesh Air Force (BAF)

Bangladesh selected Su-30SME over Mig-35D & Su-35S flanker fighter plane. BAF will eploy these eight jet to the No. 8 Squadron and role will be Maritime Strike & Counter-Offensive missions.

BAF selected Sukhoi Su-30SME as maritime offensive fighter jet role. Bangladesh military currently going through “Forces Goal-2030” modernization process. As per the modernization program Bangladesh Air Force acquiring most advanced military hardware from various origins. Su-30SME is the latest and most advanced variant of the Su-30 flanker family. This model is one of the capable fighter aircraft platform worldwide. Russia offering this jet to those countries who are already Sukhoi jet operator.

This SME version is the export variant of the Russian Aerospace Force’s Su-30SM, which has been equipped with Bars-B multi-purpose fire control radar, 3D thrust vectoring AL-31FP after burner engines, IRST and Laser Designator Targeting pod and an EOTS coupled with laser navigation system and helmet mounted target acquisition system. Its fire control radar can scan & track 15 targets simultaneously and very much able to hit four of them at once with missiles and bombs.

The Su-30SME has an 8 tons of weapons payload. Weapons are ranges from advanced air-to-air missiles, anti-surface/anti-ship missiles, air-to-ground precision guided munitions etc. Its normal range is 3000 km while with an aerial refueling range extends to 5,600 km.

Secret Submarine Base of Bangladesh Navy

Bangladesh Navy now a three-dimensional armed force of the country by operating two Chinese Type 035G Ming-class submarine, which was commissioned in active in last 12 March this year. Bangladesh Navy is constructing a new base at Rabanabad in Patuakhali named BNS Sher-E-Bangla, which will be the country’s largest naval base with submarine berthing and aviation facilities.

Meanwhile, a separate submarine base is under construction at Pekua in Cox’s Bazar. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had observed the ceremony and inaugurate the commissioning of these 2 submarine of Bangladesh.

BNS Sheikh Hasina is a new naval base being developed for the Bangladesh Navy. This will be the first full-fledged submarine base of Bangladesh Navy. Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation stone of a submarine base in Pekua in the coastal city of Cox’s Bazar.

China handed over the two Type 035G Ming-class submarines to the Bangladesh Navy on 14 November 2016.

Bangladesh Army acquired 18 units of Nora B-52K2 SPG Howitzer from Serbia, 12 more units are on the way.
Serbian Nora B-52K2 Self-Propelled Howitzer Gun is a 155 mm/52-calibre self-propelled howitzer weapon system. This SPH gun designed & developed by the Serb ‘Military Technical Institute Belgrade’ and manufactured by Yugoimport SDPR. Bangladesh Army bought units which are fitted with a French SAGEM Sigma 30 inertial navigation system. SAGEM Sigma 30 inertial navigation system enables the SPH Gun for autonomous navigation and pointing of the projectiles at the targets.

Bangladesh Army acquired 18 units of Nora B-52K2 SPG Howitzer from Serbia, 12 more units are on the way.

More specifically BA K2 variant is upgraded with 25 liter chamber, higher rate of fire, laser guided long range ammunition, smaller crew, new automated functions, smaller weight~25 tons, automatic leveling of gun in north direction, new smoke and light grenade launcher.

K designation stands for Kamaz chassis, number for orientation of main weapon in relationship to north and letter for level of equipment and/or export designation. It is possible on demand to equip Nora B-52 howitzer with 152 mm gun. All versions have differences in chassis, armour, turret, loading and support system.

All versions with automatic loader features MRSI capability. Standard equipment includes a computerized fire control system and a land navigation system. Ballistic protection is provided against small arms fire, shell splinters and some mines.
